Welcome to Feature Friday!

I love this room. The combination of corner shelving, gorgeous, natural, earthy colour tones, and a very comfortable looking chair makes this look like a beautiful room to curl up and read. I also like how there is a lot of natural light too.

Review:
In this issue we see the aftermath of Michonne's handiwork on the Governor, and also the consequences of their treatment and mistreatment of the Governor. The Governor is a sadistic man, and absolutely abhorrent in nature. However, he eloquently spins the story to gain favour in his direction and convinces the people that Rick's group at the prison are monsters just like the zombies. The truth, however, is that the Governor is evil and has no regard for the lives of anyone. He is a terrible person and humanity suffers at his hand.

Welcome to Feature Friday!

This bookcase would be a lovely addition to any living room. The design is simple, yet has aesthetic differences to spice up the room in a subtle and effective way, yet maintain functionality. Either tucked in a corner, or more prominently displayed as a central focus of the room, it provides a beautiful and simple addition to the room.

Genre: Business, Non-fiction, Communication, Self-Help
Year First Published: 2001
Year of Publication: 2012

Personal Star Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Brief description from the back cover:
This new edition gives you the tools to:
Prepare for high-stakes situations
Transform anger and hurt feelings into powerful dialogue
Make it safe to talk about almost anything
Be persuasive, not abrasive

Cover Comments:
The red is effective. I like the inclusion of arrows as representation of two way conversation.

Title Thoughts:
The title is descriptive, and effective.

Review:
This book was recommended to me by one of my roommates after having to read it for one of her business classes in University. I had been talking to her about a difficult conversation where I ended up reverting to silence instead of creating dialogue to encourage effective communication. She suggested that I read this book in order to gain perspective and perhaps utilize the format that is outlined. Although focused on workplace conversations, this book definitely has helped me in my everyday conversations. Although I still revert to silence occasionally, I have improved on this aspect. Hopefully I will be able to continue working on my communication skills in order to effectively discussion crucial conversations with others, and create a situation that all people are able to share their ideas in a safe way.

Welcome to Feature Friday!

I love this revolving bookcase! This would be a beautiful addition to a child's bedroom in order to maximize storage space in a smaller area. I like how each compartment is the same size visually, however, that may be problematic for larger books and items to fit if there were not other shelving in the room.
