The group departed from hilltop and were approached by Negan’s group. They end up killing some of the members and sending back a message of new terms and conditions. Rick’s crew returns to Alexandria and a call to arms was decided by Rick’s group to protect the hilltop. Eugene and Abraham are headed to go get supplies to begin manufacturing their own ammunition.

Rick comes to an agreement with the Hilltop that they will go head to head with Negan, a leader of the group that calls themselves The Saviors. This was formed because Rick sees a future, and he sees this as a step closer to rebuilding civilization instead of merely surviving, they will be able to live again. In return, the group has given them enough supplies to last the winter.

Jesus brings them inside their large community. As they are getting a tour, Rick is pulled aside by Gregory, the man in charge. While they begin talking, a man comes running in alone and stabs Gregory, claiming that it is the only way for Crystal to be returned to them. Rick tackles him, but ends up slitting the other man’s throat to protect himself.

Rick is worried about an attack from these other people and so he goes out with Michonne and Abraham in an attempt to see if he can find them. However, he decides that his crew is more dangerous and that they can potentially better their world if they are able to come to an agreement.
